This design came about while playing in Adobe Photoshop.  I painstakingly drew and filled each section of this lovely little lepidoptera (Danaus plexippus) and was quite pleased with myself when I finished.  The small sand dollar 'art stamp' was a separate mini piece of graphic design drawn and imported into the project later..  The original Monarch butterfly  photograph was shot with my old 35mm camera many moons ago while living in Fort Drum, New York.  The enlarged 8" x 10" photograph still hangs in our home today.  This graphic design version has gotten much use since it's birth a few years ago.  I used the artwork as a cover for our Claybank Master Gardener roster magnet.

Pumpkin stencil & drawing, K. Ylitalo

It's that time of year.  I love October...
the people and the weather.

"She stopped.  It was time to take
the pumpkin out of the pot and eat it.
In the final analysis, that was what
solved these big problems of life.
You could think and think
and get nowhere, but you still
had to eat your pumpkin.
That brought you down to earth.
That gave you a reason for going on.
Pumpkin."  -Mma Ramotswe
